Job Title: Care Taker
Hours of Work: Minimum of 12 hours per week including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
(More hours such as necessary to undertake the specified duties and this will involve)
Job Summary
Venue No.1 are looking for a Care Taker who will be a reliable and key member of the Venue No.1 team. You will be responsible for general site maintenance and upkeep of our brand new building.
To succeed as our Care Taker, you should be committed and extremely reliable.
Responsibilities:

Unlocking/locking the building
-
Undertake regular security checks and identify security risks
-
Monitor fire safety equipment and carry out fire drills
-
Operate and respond to alarm systems where appropriate, outside of any specialist monitoring brief
-
Provide emergency access to Venue No.1
-
Perform general maintenance including minor repairs, and waste removal
Experience, skills and abilities:
It is expected that the successful candidate will have the following:
-
Caretaking/site-keeping or trade experience in a similar environment
-
Good numeracy/literacy skills / GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
-
Willingness to develop knowledge of use of ICT and other specialist equipment/resources
-
Working knowledge of relevant polices/codes of practice/legislation
-
Ability to work without direct supervision
-
Ability to relate well to children and adults
-
Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and precautions
-
Knowledge of COSHH regulations
-
Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities
-
Demonstrate a flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Show the ability to assist other team members in the discharge of their duties

Job Title: Receptionist
Hours of Work: Minimum of 24 hours per week including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
(More hours such as necessary to undertake the specified duties and this will involve)
Job Summary
Venue No.1 are looking for a Receptionist who will be a reliable and key member of the Venue No.1 team. You will be the face of Venue No.1 and be guests first point of contact when they arrive. You will be very organised and willing to develop within an exciting new building.
To succeed as our Receptionist, you should be committed and extremely reliable.
Responsibilities:

Unlocking/locking the building
-
Meeting and greeting visitors as they enter the building and ensuring you are aware of why they are there.

Administrative tasks to include but not limited to: Writing press releases, contacting potential hirers, reporting from booking system.
-
Ensuring all rooms are ready at the beginning of each day and before each hire.
-
Running pre and post daily checks of the building and reporting any findings to the Venue Manager.

Be responsible for the accident book, safeguarding forms and other necessary policies.
Experience, skills and abilities:
It is expected that the successful candidate will have the following:

Experience in a customer facing role/reception experience

Administrative experience

Good numeracy/literacy skills / GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English

Willingness to develop knowledge of use of ICT and other specialist equipment/resources

Ability to work individually and as part of an exciting team
